Lets get real. I mean really real. A life guide which follows the life of a boy who is turned into a “warrior-man” by the hand of God. A real life warrior. A fighter beyond what is considered typical. A divine fighter. Male or female, dont miss the way out of our own stories and into a life of peace and joy.
HSFT- Life Guide
Use this life guide so that you can begin to unpack your own story, understand your current life state, and develop a clear pathway forward to freedom, peace, and joy. This life guide is a companion to the book the Heartest Story Finally Told, Jesus’s Glory Divinely Bold by Alter Pain which I used as a pen name. It is a true story of a boy/man who fell on hard times and then was transformed by God. The Heartest Story Finally Told is available for purchase in every English speaking country around the world and
available online in every major book retailer such as Westbow Press, Books a Million, Amazon and Barnes and Noble to name a few. For
ease of purchase, or more details, see my web page at www.hearteststory.com. This life guide is not a psychologically or clinically tested guide to living life. It is, however, a God-tested, raw, realistic, transparent, biblically based, and gutsy life guide to living. It has been written only on my heart and in this guide. My intention is to advocate living openly, transparently, and outwardly. Use this guide as a quick-start guide to living (Holy) Wholly and Freely. It is your accountability tool. It’s an easy, quick read. The amount of honest thought that you invest into your life will be a direct reflection of what you get out of it.
This life guide has ten life sections or accountability chapters. It is a cradle-to-grave process in which we are called as God’s warriors. Each chapter, in order, is exactly how God fathered me; thus, I was able to deal with my life and stay alive. It is the very process God used to drive me to be His warrior. It is not to say that what worked for me will work for you. After all, your relationship with God is an intimate and individual experience. What I can confidently say, however, is that it worked for me. Doing life by coloring within the lines is exceptionally helpful. It is a great guide to help you to remain focused while you are spiritually searching, growing, or being nurtured. I firmly believe that no matter how seasoned we are as Christians, we should always be searching for more of what we naturally yearn for spiritually. It takes dedication and accountability. We should always remain transparent and honest with ourselves. If we lie to ourselves, then clearly, we will lie to others. I assume that, as humans, we all have a story—none of us is alone, right? If you don’t have a story, check your pulse, and go to the nearest emergency room. The contents of this life guide are based on my life story, which became God’s story and a demonstration of God’s power and grace that he has extended to me over many years of my making bad choices in life. I believe that if God can bring to life a cocky,
arrogant, and confused young man like me—someone like me who demonstrated an extreme insecurity complex, lack of emotional integrity
and maturity—then he can do anything. My approach here is to keep it simple and not to complicate or confuse things. I vow to communicate with you as though we have an established relationship. This gives me leeway to write openly to you because we are friends or maybe family. I won’t sugarcoat reality; I will be bold and straight up. I don’t intend to hurt anyone’s feelings, so I
pray that you will receive this guide in the spirit in which it was given. No big words, no fancy preaching, just a good ol’ friend communicating effectively and honestly with you. The purpose of this guide is to help you face your fears and demons which keep you from experiencing joy. Our biggest demon is our own pride. Pride holds us back more than anything else in life secularly speaking. Satan will use our pride as a tool to leverage us out of doing what is just and right spiritually speaking. It holds us back from being great leaders, living freely, and living with joy. It disables us from being able to apologize, forgive, let go, and—here is a biggy—repent. Let’s find our way out together and free ourselves from imprisonment. This is for Christians and non-Christians alike who are fighting ongoing battles. Satan is relentless and will attack when we are most vulnerable. So we will strip off our spiritual
clothing, throw them away, and walk with Christ, spiritually naked. While we are naked and vulnerable, we will huddle together and pray for each other that the Lord will clothe us with his best robes. There are medicines, self-help books (some Bible-based and some
not) and psychiatrists who help us find ourselves, and counselors who guide us to see things in a different light. We often need these things because we are a complicated people. In fact we can be so complicated that we don’t even understand ourselves much less others. I believe that at the end of every day, three things are crucial to our living with joy:
1. Get God—because you can’t get better without him. At a time
when you least understand yourself, God understands you wholly.
2. Be brave— Deuteronomy 31:6 says “So be strong and courageous!
Do not be afraid and do not panic before them. For the lord your God
will personally go ahead of you. He will neither fail you nor abandon
you.” Face your weaknesses, and don’t hide behind them. Don’t try to
guard your fears, lies, or sins. is will enhance your own joy and the joy
of those around you. Remember this verse say’s that He will go ahead
of you. Keep your eyes forward and don’t look back.
3. Be authentic—Repent! People respect people who are authentic
more than they respect someone who is perceived to be fake. Repenting
is the single most humbling and di cult thing for humans to do. If
done right, it shows vulnerability, authenticity, courage and character,
all ingredients worthy of building trust.
When depression sets in, it is simply because we either don’t have God; we don’t face our fears, weaknesses, half truths, or lies; or we are too afraid to tell our stories. I can’t stress how important it is to clean up our messes and tell our stories. It is such a freeing experience. We can’t keep acting one way in public and another way behind closed doors with our families and not be depressed. Our healing starts with God and us. Healing remains the responsibility of men within in our homes to get it right, to set the example for the rest of our family. God can and will set us free from the lies. Our responsibility is to continue to seek the truth. God doesn’t give us free handouts. We will learn that we are in a relationship not a religion and as God will invest in you, you must also invest in him. There is nothing more impressive than to see a man walk with God, letting God hold him accountable to get right publicly and then demonstrate that he is a sinner who wants to get it right. What is not impressive is a man who thinks he can do and be all things by himself, only to fall on his face publicly and hide from it out of pride as though no one noticed.
