Pop! Pop! Then the sound of a ricochet. My leg became numb and I swung around in the middle of the crosswalk after the bullet entered and lodged into my knee. I fell to the ground knowing a large truck was going to run over me. Thank God, I had the presence of mind to lay flat. Just as I did, the rear differential missed my body. Something under the truck shaved a button off of my hand-me-down polo shirt. 13 years old, on my first date, I had no enemies, or did I? In my true story “The Heartest Story Finally Told”, you meet one of the main characters named Daemon. He was a decorated army veteran from the Vietnam war and was also a fed, then a police officer. He flew Cobra and Huey helicopters in Vietnam. This man not only held me at gun point for several years while he had his way with me, but he also tried to kill me when he realized that I might talk. He had other police officer and federal agent friends from his past and they were as crooked as him. They had their fancy field phones and would use key words while talking. He was taking polaroid pictures while molesting me and sold them on the black market amongst other things. I was taught to be a marksman by Daemon growing up. I am well versed in guns. So when I had finally escaped from Daemon, and some time went by, I had heard that he was shot dead by a young boy. That’s only a nugget of my life story. (www.hearteststory.com)
So now lets talk about GUNS and COMMON SENSE not from a leftist or rightist point of view. Politics completely out please.
Daemon fired that .357 magnum while trying to kill me that frightful day. That same gun that I loved and fired many, many times before did not try to kill me. A gun doesn’t have a motive, or a brain. A gun is not set on a timer to go off and kill someone. If the gun didn’t kill me, maybe the truck would have. I could have killed Daemon myself many times, yet I chose not too even during moments when I thought it would save my life in self-defense. I chose not to, the gun didn’t. I chose not to be a killer that day, even though I would have been exonerated. Unfortunately for Daemon, his next victim didn’t feel the same way I did. That young boy murdered him in self-defense. He chose to kill Daemon, the gun didn’t.
In all of this remember that the cop, the federal agent, the Hero and Vietnam veteran wasn’t a hero at all. He was a child molester, a murderer and he got away with it until this poor boy was forced to do what maybe I should have done long before him. Daemon was a man who owned lots of guns. He was shot by a boy using Daemons favorite gun, the Colt python. He wasn’t shot by his favorite gun.
Lets “cap” this discussion about guns right now.
1. Good people have guns; try to take those away and you will be the responsible murderer when they cant defend themselves. If you take those guns away from the good people which is all of the US, you wont be able to keep up with the crime, the murder and the violence. You might some day succeed because of your never ending short sightedness, but you will not succeed in getting the guns away from the criminals. Uh oh, now what! No one can end a bank robbing, or a hostage situation better than an armed civilian because they are on the inside and have the upper hand. No negotiations needed and no needless unnecessary deaths.
2. Bad people have guns, take them away not ours!
3. ISIS has guns. Try to take those away from ISIS… and leave us to fend for ourselves while someone tries to run our family over with a truck, or slice us up with a sword, or stab us with a knife.
This is common sense I tell you. Its just simple common sense.
Thank the Lord for those who have never been around gun violence. But remember this… guns are not violent people can be.
Go after the murderers, the bad people and take their guns and leave ours alone so that you can live another day not having to carry the burden or be responsible as to why one of your own friends died when they could have protected themselves.
If you chose to reply, leave out your political rhetoric and only common sense please. Forget about what the media thinks or has brain washed you to believe. I dont care what the politicians think. Remember dont think, know before you speak and know for yourself.
